I went there with my mother as they had a boot fair and classic car display.
Fantastic verdant venue worth the trip by itself.
Selfless volunteer staff, polite and positive.
Great morning.

We booked a slot in advance to view dogs in anticipation to home an animal in need, but on arrival it seemed chaotic and eventually confronted by an old lady who told us to return after 30 minutes.
When we returned the lady was totally unhelpful and rude and said none of their animals would be suitable. My family and I were totally disappointed.

Absolutely disgusted, I felt very uncomfortable, going there with my dog, as everyone there did not crack a smile did not feel welcome. ..when it comes to treatment for my dog All they done was give him painkillers The second vet on his second trip They said he needs an x-ray I called to book. She asked me for my number and she will get back to me the next day. Next day I had to call again and again she asked for my number she will get back to me. Nope I had to call for the third time and guess what she said can I have your number please I have decided to take my Dog away from Lord whiskey and go to A vet I can trust yes I would have to pay more, but at this moment in time, it will be so worth it. There’s plenty more to say but if you’re going to take your animal there, you can see for yourself. Good luck absolutely appalling

The sanctuary looks after some ageing and infirm animals. The fund is there to pay for their care.

Great place we went when they had a boot fair on this. It was well managed by staff and volunteers . You could hear animals as you walked around. The place seemed well maintained . Lots of people I know are firm supporters of the sanctuary and have removed animals from here. The checks they undertake are all in the best interests of the animals . The setting is lovely, far-reaching views surrounded by woodlands they also have a tea shop a little way up the road that is well worth a vist and helps to support the sanctuary and this is also a firm favourite for supporters
