After my frightening oncology appt on Wednesday at Stafford County hospital I stumbled upon this small McMillan office.

Feeling dazed from worrying thoughts in my head I walked in and a few minutes later I was met with a friendly “Hello”

It was a lady named Emma from the support team. I burst into tears and she immediately put me at ease and asked if she could help.

As I gripped my chemo pills I was so grateful that in my dark moment she offered a glimmer of hope and understanding.

I explained I rarely speak to anyone esp about my Cancer of six years. And that I carry this pain and frustration that seems to explode in my head at times of extra weight of stress.

Emma was very empathetic, kind and caring.
I could relate and talk freely to her she understood.
I’d like to say a huge thank you ? EMMA for listening.
