Ratings can be skewed by a small number of dissatisfied customers or specific issues that may not reflect the overall service quality for the majority of tenants. Users exploring options are advised to read individual reviews critically, looking for common themes or isolated incidents to form a balanced view.

Furthermore, the feedback extends beyond direct service evaluations to encompass aspects like the quality of properties, responsiveness of management, and value for money. This comprehensive assessment from the community provides valuable insights for anyone contemplating a long-term association with Magna Housing, whether as a tenant or a business partner.

Exploring their property listings, service details, and published reports accessible through the website is crucial.

Secondary research, such as examining online review platforms (like Google My Business mentioned), provides a snapshot of customer experiences and potential pain points. While these should be considered alongside official information, they offer valuable user-generated perspectives. For in-depth understanding, particularly regarding their development projects or community impact, exploring local planning applications, council records, or seeking testimonials from current tenants might yield further insights.

Do not report any repairs as MAGNA will do their best not to do them. Over the past few years we have had the following problems.
Roof tile blew off....Over a year to repair.
Garage door jammed in open position....4 months to book repair ended up paying for repair ourselves £140.
Fence panel down....took 8 months to repair. All future panels will repair myself.
Garage roof leaks water covers 80% of the floor...ongoing year and a half still not repaired.
Latest issue is no heating/hot water for 3 weeks in January. They have part but to busy to fit it.
Any future repairs will pay for ourselves.
Repair staff are either 5 star or rude and incompetent. It's pot luck.
Terrible company needs regulating by the government 😒

Bought a second floor flat that was ex magna property.
They took months to sort the paper work out to complete the purchase of the property.
Within a month they started looking for ways to get money out of us, even though we pay the maintenance charges that apply to the other properties. We missed one payment and they sent the rudest letter telling us how disappointing it was.
All of the still magna owned properties have recently had their fire doors changed to keep up with fire regs but so far we have not. I've tried to contact them multiple times about different things and either get ignored or contacted 6 months down the line.
Do not do any business with this company!!

I don't rent with magna i own my own property, however magna own a back gate and garden path round the back of my property and despite the gate being broken and rundown the path being overgrown and dangerous magna have not done anything to fix the side gate. First reported 2 years ago and nothing was done. One bloke just turned up in a van and shrugged his shoulders despite seeing a complete eyesore and broken gate on arrival. Amazing that they have such a big business but are unable to fix a broken gate. I'm glad I didn't rent with these guys!!

Magna have been amazing as landlords to me and my son, when I recieved confirmation from Martyn Hopkins that I was eligible for a property with them, when I was homeless with a new born baby in 2020, to the current day they have dealt with all my issues that I have encountered as a tenant and helped me keeping me safe within my home, and even more when I've had issues paying my rent, the housing officer has been very respectful, understanding, compassionate and empathetic towards the reasons why I have fallen behind on many accounts.

I can not fault any of the members of staff from trade to everyone on the phone or jn the office as I have been treated really well and that is really appreciated and I have been with Magna for 4 years now and hope to stay for a very long time, keep the tenant and landlord relationship as we have now.

So thank you so much Magna, I really appreciate being your tenant.

My mum has been a magna tenant for 18 odd years. Now the house has needed some work doing and they are useless and borderline abusive.
Cancelled appointments, not fixing things properly, breaking things and swearing. Leaving a house head to toe in mould and they don't want to know. I sense a compensation law suit coming regarding health and safety soon. Some appointments are 15 months+ wait.

So which is it Magna, do I owe £700 or £200? Your letter says £700, but the account says £200. And while I have your attention, is there a surcharge or discount for living above a neighbour with constantly nuisance animals on the loose that bare fang so much many couriers don't want to enter the building?

Yeah, my advice to anyone fortunate enough to be able to pick and choose HA landlords is be picky enough with your choices to go with someone else.

Edit - Contact you? Contact... You? The last time I tried that, the person I spoke to was not only dismissive of my distress caused by your company, but also instead of answering my simple question made a point of registering me as in the wrong. Adding to my distress, and even laughing when I expressed it.

Eviction threats, intimidations, intrusions, are the best any Magna tenant can expect. All with no recourse or apology because those of us suffering your overlandlording know if we try to stand up for ourselves, or have our own lives free of your constant commanding, we'll simply be beaten down with yet more threats, intimidations, and intrusions.

These are peoples' lives you're playing with, shrugging off, mocking. Housing security is one of the fundamental needs for a stable life, and something Magna tenants can only dream of as instead we're perpetually on edge waiting for the next barrage of invasive demands.

Only leaving a star because I have to.
My mother in law is disabled and can't walk very far and has a mobility scooter.
They want her to store the scooter in the bins provided however they are not suitable as leaving it in there has made the seat go mouldy.
She’s been told that she is not allowed to have it outside her flat as it’s a “fire risk” yet not in anyone’s way.
The bins are too far for her to walk from her flat as she is very unsteady on her feet even with her walker.
But the idiots at Magna and the local housing officer are too stupid to understand this and are basically taking away her legs and her freedom!
She was threatened by the housing officer that if the scooter was not put in the bins then they would remove and destroy the scooter!
However this scooter does not belong to my mother in law, but to a third company who have said that that would be theft and the third party company would have to contact the police and the housing officer would be arrested! Magna will also be responsible for any damages to the scooter and will have to pay money back to the company.
I really hope that one day these pencil pushers will end up immobilised and then they will know what it’s like, and get treated with the same disregard and disrespect as my mother in law.
Absolutely disgusting how we’ve been treated!
