Beautiful arboretum bathed in autumnal colours as the leaves turn. Peaceful and spacious grounds. Abundant koi carp in the lake, unusual ducks and geese and even peacocks strolling around the walled garden. There’s a children’s play park of wooden structures to climb on, a Mrs Salisbury’s tea room serving light lunches and afternoon teas, plenty of parking, toilets with allows dogs too. A gift shop and plant sale. £10 adult entrance fee with £1gift aid. Very worth the journey.

Been a member for a few years, nice place to walk dogs. Good paths when its been raining.
Cafe has just changed to Mrs Salisburys. And it has a dog friendly side, altho we were outside as it quite warm.
We had a coffee and fruit scone, which was good. Staff very friendly, it was very busy but didnt wait too long.

What a beautiful place! Enjoyed a lovely walk with my young family. Our 3.5 year old loved the Googly Eyed tree trail, running around the walled garden, meeting the peacock and sheep sculptures and feeding the huge greedy fish! Great for a medium length walk and explore with little ones.
The cafe was having some sort of work done so there wasn’t as much on offer for food but luckily we’d brought our own. Sure that’s just a temporary thing though.

Great place for a day out. Wonderful formal grounds, with what feels likes miles and miles of walks, around a formal pond. There are also loads of beautiful woodland walks if you feel like getting lost in nature. There's a lovely cafe at the main entrance, with plenty of spaces inside, and if weather permits outside in the orchard. Service is very slow though. Very slow. Would suggest the staff reviews the work-flow in the service desk area to improve this. Many coffee shops can deal with large volumes of customers, unfortunately the queue on a busy day snaked outside, that's just not great. That aside though, food is really good, can recommend the cakes, and delicious oat milk coffee.

Hadn't visited before but really enjoyed the trails and surroundings. A large walled garden and plenty of space to explore. We met the resident peacocks and the kids found all the trees with googly eyes. We fed the fish in the lake and enjoyed all the flowers. Hidden gem, worth a visit! Took our own food so didn't try the cafe hence 4 stars. Will update when we go back.
