For many years I have contributed to the Martlets Hospice for the much needed support to those that are going through the most difficult time in this life and bringing comfort to others . The reason for my text is to understand why you would have a policy of keeping your charity shop doors open in the coldest of weathers when some other shops cannot afford the sacrifice of losing such high cost of energy and to this home we call earth ! I am very much aware of the wonderful care thats given because my partner passed there three year ago. I should explain that I come from a generation that paid 3d for a bag of chips and absolutely nothing was wasted ..........nothing . We are " OPEN" but retaining the heat for the comfort of both volunteers and customers and responsibility to generations to come . Thats caring !

This place is incredible, the care and support shown to my dad in his final few days was heartwarming. We as a family cant thank the the Martlets enough for what they did for him. Thank you so much! Dad was a Manchester City fan, and they have kindly sent a signed shirt which we have donated to the Martlets to auction off as a thank you from my Dad

My mum was here for almost a week. She actually put on weight on, and they wheeled her bed outside so she could sit in the sun under a big umbrella.

In the final hours, every dear kind nurse thoroughly explained every procedure carefully and what this would do to help mum be more comfortable and why this was best. They put a fold up bed next to mum so I could stay the last night with her. They also reminded me to rest & eat and made drinks for us.

I will never forget the support for such a traumatic event. There are not enough stars to rate this place...💖
