This Masjid has some positive messages on website and WhatsApp group so I came to see.

You arrive at a former church building, quite large with a car park. There is a side door but it is locked and unclear what it is for.

The front door is locked so you have to ring a bell. Unusual for a Masjid. There is a keypad if you know the code. The entrance is not wheelchair accessible. The side entrance might be.

You enter the building and you come to a shoe rack area and on the left is a red carpeted staircase which apparently is for sisters (ladies).

You walk down a corridor and on the right is a wudu room with a covered toilet and a separate sink.

On the left is a small corridor leading to a disabled style toilet. The toilet is spacious with lota and sink. The light seems to go off at will, its will not yours and responds to movement. Bit pointless, penny pinching and unfriendly.

At the end of the main corridor is a prayer area for around 25 people. It has a digital donation machine, choose the amount and tap your card. There is a small bin.

To the right there is the main prayer hall. The rear of this has a bookcase and a clock with time, date and temperature.

The front of the prayer hall has a very large clear digital prayer timetable, very good, which also shows temperature but a different temperature to the clock at the rear.

The carpet is an inviting warm red colour. The main prayer hall is big enough for about 65-90 people.

The imam or person leading the prayer had a wonderful voice. Very nice.

About 25 people attend for Maghreb on a Saturday. Two are kids.

Disappointing is that hardly anyone says "Assalamu Alaykum" to anyone or talks to anyone or shakes hands with anyone. This is 25 strangers in a shop type atmosphere not a budding warm community.

A little after prayers they have to lock the Masjid, where "you are welcome to stay for Isha, have a cup of tea" which is possible in some places, doesn't seem on the menu yet.

Very active masjid and community centre. Have Quran, Arabic and Islam classes for the whole family and monthly get-togethers for the elderly. Have also recently started fitness classes. There's a kitchen on-site and a small carpark, more parking available on back streets.

Alhamdulillah I had the great honour of visiting the masjid for the first time and it was on the nikkah of my daughter. Alhamdulillah it was the first nikkah carried out at this new masjid!
The occasion went well. The masjid had plenty of parking outside for our families and inside they had set up a room for us where the nikkah took place. The room was spacious with plenty of chairs. Prior to the nikkah ceremony we prayed in the main part of the masjid. InshaAllah I will definitely be visiting again!
