Mayfield have been looking after my mum since September 2020. The staff are always very friendly and easy to talk to. They always keep me informed about my mum. Mum is obviously enjoying her food as I’ve had to recently buy her some larger clothing. Government COVID restrictions on visiting means that visitors are not allowed inside the home at present and it’s not very practical to meet my mum outside in this cold weather but Mayfield has risen to the challenge and set-up “zoom” video calls which are a lot more personal than just a telephone call.

My Mother has been a resident of Mayfield since late February 2020 to the present date June 2022 when she sadly passed. Mayfield is a caring residential home, and nothing seems too much trouble. Since the lockdown, they, like many others, have stopped room visiting, but have, when the weather allows allowed limited outdoor Garden visits. These have been invaluable as phone conversations with your loved one is not always possible. In the meantime, they, the Carers, Nurses, and Management are always on the other end of a telephone call if you need to enquire about your loved ones.
They are very well cared for, with lots of activities available to ensure the time spend between the fabulous meal times pass very quickly. You have a TV in your room and in the lounge areas, if that is what you prefer, you couldn't want a better home for your loved ones to be in.
Clearly, the current Covid-19 situation has closed down a number of options to entertain and visit the Residential home, but Mayfield has managed to cope with the difficulties as they arose . I would like to put on record that my Mother enjoyed the 2+ years that she was a resident with them and considered it to be her home and always spoke well of the care the staff were able to offer.

My mother in law is currently residing at this home and has been there for just over 3 months. Whilst this is only respite at present, she is very happy there.
From a family perspective and working in the care sector I can only reiterate comments I have already shared with staff and management of this home. From walking through the front door I have always been met by a member of staff, have always seen staff on duty and the home has always been free of smell and is clean. Always see someone cleaning on my visits.
The care my mother in law is receiving is second to none and nothing is too much trouble.
The home is being upgraded and is this is notable in both the individuals rooms and group spaces.
I would have no qualms in recommending this home. Many thanks.

My elderly Mum went to live here nearly 3 years ago when she was becoming less mobile and dementia was setting in. She didn't take long to settle in thanks to the wonderful girls she called "my bluebells" (because of the colour of their uniform). The carers here are marvellous, they adapt their approach according to the needs and characters of each resident and they are hugely supportive of the families too. There are lots of various activities provided and supervised by a really kind lady, plus many nice little touches to the decor around the home that make it cheerful and homely. Meals are very varied and cooked there as well. Mum sadly passed away recently, aged 90, and the end of life care she received was out of this world - care in every meaning of the word. The girls spent ages with her, sometimes just holding her hand for comfort. I received care too in the form of support, friendship and empathy. Alongside all of this are the never-ending patience and humour and sense of fun that everyone working there has. Thank you just doesn't seem enough Mayfield, but Thank You all from the bottom of my heart.

They are looking after my Dad and he always says how lovely all the staff are. Every time I call or visit (not now with lockdown) they are so helpful in answering my questions. They keep me up to date with Dad's progress all the time. Dad feels very comfortable at Mayfield and I am pleased knowing they are being kind and courteous to all the patients.

The staff at Mayfield are always friendly & keep you well informed about the residents, especially during this difficult time. They are always attentive to their residents & always on hand. The food always looks appetising & enough of it.
