My mother recently had to move to a care home and we are very fortunate that she has been able to move into Handsworth Care Home, Bowdon.
The staff are welcoming to all, show understanding and empathy both for the people living there and for relatives who come to visit. I have been able to observe how they work hard in helping the all the people who live there. Nothing seems too much for the staff working at Handsworth.
The building is purpose build and partially carpeted. There are no bad smells like there are at other care homes. My mum has a lovely room which we have been able to personalise by hanging pictures on the walls is very important for our mum and us. Having personal effects in the room make our mum feel more comfortable when she’s in it.
The garden is beautiful and is set out in such a way that you can sit with your family and have a degree of privacy.
And amazingly the food is good. My mum said she likes the food and I’ve watched her eat so I’ve seen it with my own eyes.
Nothing is too much for the staff to do to help and whenever they do, it's with a smile on their faces.
You may think from my review that Handsworth care home is too good to be true, but for once it really is what they say it is. It’s a caring home for people like our mum.

This is a most caring and warm care home, with staff who love what they do and it shows in their happy attitude to all the residents. It really merits the title of HOME !! I really look forward to every visit! A lovely place!

A lot of care homes have bad publicity but this one has wonderful caring staff and lovely modern rooms. I would certainly recommend to anyone that needed information.
