This ex hospital with its history, accommodation, bungalows and pretty gardens is nestled in quite nicely in the frankwell area.You can't see it from the road and it makes the place so peaceful and away from prying eyes.Walking distance from the wonderful quarry park and the town centre,it's in a great position.

Millington's Hospital established in 1748 is managed by Millington's Charity which is a Trust.
The Charity provides sheltered housing in the Frankwell area of Shrewsbury.
Housing comprises of ground floor and first floor accomodation located within a short distance of parkland and Shrewsbury town.
The Trust is made up of volunteers, with 3 employees.
The Clerk to the Trust oversees the structure of the accomodation whilst an on site Warden looks after the day to day general welfare of residents. The emphasis however, is that residents generally look after them selves but knowing there is someone on site should the need arise. Each home has the extra benefit of being linked to a 24/7 emergency system providing extra support.
Overall Millington's provides a caring lifeline whilst not taking away personal independence.

Google maps won't take you there. It was so frustrating the first time I was supposed to be there. Otherwise, place is good, staff friendly to everyone
