I cant fault Milnbank Housing. Polite friendly and efficient people. Always had repairs done quickly. I find them very caring especially during Covid. We have always had any concerns dealt with. Well done for keeping the rents affordable in comparison with other housing associations.
We live in Aitken Street. Anything in the air about the refurbishment of our kitchens which must be well overdue!

Worst housing association around, cheap rents the only good thing they have going for them. Everyone in company from bottom to top is incompetent. You try to phone and complain and get hung up on and laughed at. It's a joke the government give this mob money.

Gets worse as time goes on. Can't get any repairs done. They miss appointments and accuse you of not answering the door. Never their fault, they are always right, you already always wrong.

Most unprofessional, incompetent group of people I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

Over the years this organisation is not what it was. Staff are incompetent and treat you with contempt. As an owner occupier called office requesting bag of garden waste to be uplifted, three weeks on called and cancelled took it to Queenslie by taxi.
Second request called stating someone had left bulk items in backcourt, had been there for two weeks plus. I was assured it would be uplifted, unfortunately they did not state it wouldn’t be 2023. I hope for the sake of the residents in the property we don’t have an issue with vermin.
How times have changed when the associations main concern was for residents a community based organisation. It’s now become a business and the residents are an afterthought.

How are people meant to get help when you're telling them that mental health is not a real illness. It's because of ignorant staff members like yours that people are still embarrassed and scared to speak about their issues and don't get the help they need until it's too late.

I promised the two really nice Milnbank lads I would write this. This morning they cleared up the flytipping of Marwick Street. They were polite, friendly and took away two sofas and one mattress that people had tipped. We really appreciate it. Thanks to the two of you! For recognition- the trucky with reg DU68 GHA working Haghill at 9am on 12/01/2021! Legends!!

These people are utterly, utterly atrocious as flat owners. To my great regret they own a flat opposite me, and have caused nothing but untold amounts of stress, misery and debt to everyone in my close.

Initially, the source of the stress was from an incredibly dangerous and violent tenant that they knowingly housed in our close. Every member of the building had to call the police on separate occasions, and for months all anybody could hear was screaming, domestic abuse and loud hardstyle music up until 4 in the morning. Since the tenant himself proved too aggressive to be reasoned with, fellow members of the close tried for months to work with Community Safety Glasgow, Police Scotland and Milnbank themselves, and pretty much everyone had given up by the time this tenant actually left. I would also not be surprised if the reason he left had nothing to do with fellow tenants. One member of the building broke down in Milnbank's offices over the problem, only to be met with a stoney response. Another strongly considered selling their flat to escape it.

In addition to this, we have a Building Committee that meets to discuss issues regarding the building. We invite representatives from Milnbank every time, and not a single one has ever shown up. They are so disorganised that during one particularly important meeting, after e-mailing and phoning them repeatedly to ensure attendance, and after being promised attendance, they not only were the only people who failed to show up, but also failed to send apologies.

The reason I am now writing this review is that for what is now the THIRD time, our front door's locking mechanism has been broken. Every single time this has happened it has been on a Friday night - which, as anyone who lives in Haghill knows, is a less than ideal time to have your door broken. We have had numerous close break-ins because of this, which are always extremely distressing. The first time this happened, it was broken by their own tenant, and the second two have been caused by an endless stream of careless contractors who use the mechanism (instead of the handle) to open the door and let it slam behind them. Every single time, it has been me to not only organise repair, but pay for it out of my own pocket. They never reimbursed me the first time, and the second time they sent a joiner (wrong trade), who said simply that it couldn't be fixed (it could - we had to arrange and pay for a secure door expert separately.) The third time, after having to let a contractor out myself due to the fact that he had obviously bust the lock and couldn't work it, I phoned up their emergency helpline absolutely livid that I am having to go through this all again - and was told simply not to be rude (how can I not be at this stage?!), that I "couldn't prove it", and that they weren't willing even to phone the factor on our behalf or help out financially, as a sign of good will.

This will now be the third weekend since moving in that I have to cancel my weekend plans, spend hours on the phone to my factor and pay yet again to get the door fixed. Short of installing CCTV in the close, I have no idea how to stop this.

In short - Milnbank have proven themselves to be disorganised, flippant and completely unhelpful as fellow landlords.

I called office at 16 20 on Fri 19th Jan-was closed even though voice Mach says they close at 5pm. I was getting carpets fitted but the living room carpet wouldn't fit under the door so was calling to ask if i could be put on Mondays workload. I had to stay with a friend all weekend as my furniture was all moved out of the living room so had no where 2 sit. I left asg on the machine...Mon morn nobody got back to me! I toned about 11am to see if i could just have the door taken off-id already arranged 4 somebody2 re-hang it (who had also tried to get it off over w/end but it wouldn't budge). So i rang them on Monday 22nd only to be told they will get it done on 2ND FEB....2 wks away! SO I've to sit in a bedroom for 2 wks...But pay rent for a 3 appartment flat!!! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE....If i stayed in Roebank St-it would have been done y/day!! APAAULIMG way to run an organisation!!!
