This is an amazing ruin to visit and admire. It is told that William Lovell (seventh Baron Lovell) built this grand mansion house. He died in 1455 and it remained in the family until the 18th century.
Now this historic place is in the care of English Heritage and it is free entrance. One note would be to watch your footing and respect what you see. Well worth the effort to come and see this.

The place is a gem. Situated in a beautiful little village, clean and quiet. Easy to park, easy to find it. Just behind an old church. The ruins look romantic and also intriguing. One can just imagine how life was like when it was in use. Enjoy my little drone shots I did on a beautiful autumn day. If you wanna find the footage, please go to Instagram @edvinmester.

Really beautiful ruins to go and have a look at. Very pot holed roads to get to it. No cafe or toilets nearby so bear that in mind.

Parking close by is limited to about 7 or 8 cars.there is further parking down in the beautiful village. The walk to the hall is down a lane , to which you will come to St kenhelms church first . (Worth a look) . The ruins of the hall are behind and to one side of the church and sit by the river Windrush. They are imposing and romantic and quite beautiful. The site is looked after by english heritage but there are no facilities on site . One of our favourite places

The most beautiful ruins I have ever visited.
Parking is approximately 200 metres away and is free parking with about 10 spaces available.
The walk down takes you through the churchyard into the ruined hall and Dovecote which is reached through a gate at the bottom end of the hall garden.
This attraction has some information boards dotted around and is very dog and family friendly.
A thoroughly enjoyable visit of about 45 minutes..... And it's free too!

Situated in the Windrush valley at Minster Riding (Minster Lovell) near Burford, are these beautiful ruins of Minster Lovell Hall.
Located behind St Kenelms Church on the banks of the River Windrush this is a must visit if in the area visiting or staying in the village.
Parking is limited but it's only small walk down the lane to the ruins

Great landscape, relatively easy walkable, not busy even on weekends. Free parking is a few minutes away. The site is accessible through the church gate. Be sure to walk further down alongside the river to find some almost wild grapes.
