This company should get done for fraud, failing to care providers their bills and rent, taking a admistration fee, sending the PIP money into the wrong account and money going missing. DWP advises carers and appointees against sending money to this company.

This was our issue and what we been advised by dwp. Care provider randomly sets up for the account for the relative without full consent, relatives won't informed about the process, then money went missing into that account, care providers/social worker put a safeguard against the relatives thinking its them when a full investigation went away to find its the money fondation and care providers fault.

Next meeting with the relatives and care providers is no apology, they blamed the family agreed to not use this "money carers bank account" all good, social worker left the case every is happy with care plan. Four months later family loses appointieship for unknown reasons, dwp sends later about "end appointment date" no details, phone numbers not working and date is incorrect on the letter. And now money is being sent from PIP into money carers foundation and the relatives wasn't informed, DWP told the relatives someone said "they didn't want to be appointee".

Money carers or the care providers call DWP falsely informed them about not wanting family to be appointee and now money being sent into the money foundation its fraud its disgusting.

Communication rubbish. Caused my sister to go into debt with her rent because they didn't apply for her housing benefit soon enough so she got into arrears...now not paying her any grocery money because budget won't allow. And sooooooo slow!! Team of snails.

Our experience of working with money carer foundation has been really positive, we have always found them to be friendly and professional to work with and their benefits adviser Pal has been extremely organized and a pleasure to work with.

I don't have any reservations! To the best of my knowledge, MCF are doing exceedingly well and their customer service is just top notch. Please don't ever relent! ?

Over all, it's a 5 over 5 review for me.

I have just come off a telephone call with Christopher Boylan in relation to one of his clients & ours. His company look after their finances so a sensitive area & one where they would endeavour to get right for their clients.

Christopher had such a positive nature from the very beginning of the call simply asking 'how my day was'. This was refreshing & certainly helps start a positive conversation from the beginning. For me it showed he was giving time to discuss his client with me who he clearly cared about everything being right on their behalf. It is easy to see that he cares about the work he does & his employer should be proud of him. He was extremely professional & we discussed other clients, which we had communicated over by email & it showed that he wanted the best for them also.

Christopher is a great example of someone with excellent customer service skills, putting his clients first & dealing with 3rd party clients with the highest of respect. He most certainly deserves to be recognised for his outstanding work.

I would certainly have no hesitation in contacting Christopher in the future for help & support around our clients as I know that he would go above & beyond.

MCF Review

I am writing this review as the mother, and now financial appointee, of an MCF client.  That I, who am in no way vulnerable, have had such difficulty in dealing with this company should raise questions as to how effectively they deal with their actual client group.  Suffice to say, I am now doing the job they were employed to do.

The positives – on an individual basis, staff were generally pleasant to talk to.  Therein ends the positive.

Constructive criticism:

·        Onboarding process lacked clear structure and explanation.  A flow chart illustrating the process, together with an anticipated time frame, would have been helpful.

·        Onboarding took months – literally.

·        The online portal is clunky, to say the least; the App simply doesn’t function properly.

Account administration

Abysmal – I cannot find anything more positive to say.  Important – MCF will continue paying existing bills, but they will not seek cheaper alternatives when renewal is due e.g. of house contents insurance.  Neither, for example, will they make an application for things such as a reduced water bill.  In short, whilst they may administrate payment of existing accounts, they absolutely do not look after the client’s best interests by ensuring the services they have are competitive.

·        Expect an average wait time of 3 weeks for any response to requests of any nature.

·        Expect ‘phone calls not to be answered, or not to be returned.

·        Expect to have to make the same request, or provide the same information, multiple times.

·        Payment to Support Services were not made, despite arrangements having been made for this, until I queried this with them.  Promised phone calls to the Support service were never made.

·        Bills were paid which MCF were told should be disputed.

·        Promises (for months) of moving to a different power supplier never materialised.

·        Summary statement of account does not show payment of all bills.

·        Summary budget statement shows errors.

Having informed MCF that their services were no longer required, I am still, 37 days later, trying and failing to get account information for various utilities from them so that I can make new arrangements with these companies.

In conclusion, I can only advise anyone considering this company to turn tail and run as fast as possible in the opposite direction.

I Have found them utterly un-reliable, Difficult to reach, Unable to co-ordinate with any kind of external service. Clients have had budget plans cut up without any notice and their daily money reduced without explanation until we chased it up. The organisation I work for has had to nag them to give clients any idea of what's going on with their money. We have had to re-submit paperwork multiple times to get the basics done such as registering as named carers. We have been misled when contacting them in regards to registering for carers cards (or equals cards, Who knows the answer changes whenever we reach out) which we are still waiting for and is due to arrive in weeks. Currently there is a risk of a client going hungry because of them.
