Very busy cafe along the main trunk road to Devon/Dorset. Medium size carpark, fairly easy to find. Large restaurant that's always busy serving tasty fresh food. Well recommended. We sat outside because it was lovely and sunny. Inside was very busy to get there early to make sure you get a table.

Nice location with outside seating. Staff very friendly & helpful. Great tea & cake. A couple of Gluten Free cake options and GF bread available, pity their chips aren't. Worth visiting the shops on site too and take in the amazing tree on the front lawn.

Absolutely amazing - We had our wedding at this venue yesterday and it was so lovely. The food was top tier and we are so happy with how the entire day turned out. The entire staff were so precise and delicate, we are truly blessed to have had our wedding here. If anyone is thinking about booking an event here I would definitely give the venue a call or pop down when it's open to have a look around. Very affordable and we will be visiting Monks Yard often to enjoy all that the venue/cafe has to offer! A big thank you to the whole team

Buzzing atmosphere and good quality food but slghtly expensive for what it is. We had to wait a long time for our drinks, even though our food came quickly. Also a horrible smell around the toilets - possibly some sort of sewer issue.

Big shout out for the new autumn menu - you don't get more seasonal than Maple Roasted Pumpkin Salad with a Maple and Hazelnut Latte chaser! The super-abundant ploughman's is my preferred go-to - so much tasty salad along with the cheese and ham - and our seven-strong party were equally thrilled by the paninis (Buffalo Chicken, and Bacon-Brie-Cranberry). There was a great buzz in the cafe while we were there, and lots of energy. The staff were friendly and delightful, as always, and the food arrived quickly despite it being a busy lunchtime. Plenty of parking, and one member of our group was grateful for the copious disability parking right by the cafe.

Had breakfast here this morning on back of other reviews. Was excellent. Really good quality food, well cooked and good service. Coffee was best I’ve had in a long time and wife had pot of tea which gave her four cups of tea. Lovely setting and really nice cafe. Would add my recommendation to others and would definitely call again if in area

All servers were pleasant and accommodating. Food was very nice. A mistake with the order was rectified quickly. When it got busy in the restaurant it was a little noisy for some of our party but otherwise a lovely find.
