These moorland rock formations are quite impressive to see up close, and the site has a few walking paths to enjoy the area. The paths aren't very well marked in some places, but easy enough to find your way down the 8-10 minute walk to the main rocky area from the car park. The main path there was also paved and looked accessible. Able to get a quick taster in 20-25 minutes or go on a longer walk around.

The visitor centre could use some additional information on its history as was quite minimal. However has a decent sized used bookstore on the ground floor.

Facilities: the toilets and cafe are a 8-10 minute walk from the car park, near the visitor centre and picnic tables.

Car park is free with National Trust, or £6.5 up to four hours, or £10 all day.

Big car park and overflow car park, brilliant place to explore with family and friends. Dog friendly and easy to navigate. The route is a bit short, but plenty to explore. Car parking is £6.50 for 4 hours or £10 all day (March 2025), I would say most visits would only require the 4 hours.

Excellent for walking with the kids. There are short trails and longer trails which take you around gigantic rock formations that you can look at or climb on.

Great fun for the kids and adults alike to go climbing around and have adventures.

Good parking, people on hand to help if needed from the trust and there’s a shop with souvenirs and a cafe for food that does plant based milks as well.

Also there’s a house that is pretty special with a garage that is build into the rocks. Pretty awesome site.

Truly magical place.
Be careful on the narrow approach roads.
The National Trust do their always excellent job at providing sensible parking, informative signage, well maintained paths, and not forgetting the shop and cafe.
