We visited here in early January and it was beautiful in the snow. The views along the walk were lovely.

We went for a walk and stopped to have fun in the snow throwing snowballs.

The only downside was there was not a huge amount of parking especially with the pub being there too.

However, it was extremely picturesque and definitely worth visiting if you like walking with a wonderful view.

Although we got little late in the evening by bus to reach this place. We were able to enjoy the sunset views. The view of the brighton city from this spot is amazing. I would recommend to come here by 1-2pm for enjoying this location. Its a beautiful place for picnic, we took our blanket, food and wine with us to enjoy this place. Although there is a cafe in case you want to have drinks and snacks.

We visited for the sunset view. The car park is reasonable in size and big enough to park your van with care. There is no overnight parking for anyone, so please be aware of that. The views are spectacular on a clear day, and we had an amazing view across the downs as well as out to sea.
You can take your dog/ family/ children/ picnic etc, remember to clean up after yourselves.
On this occasion we didn't use the pub but have in the past.
Parking is free for National Trust members.

Outstanding landscape feature in the South Downs, situated not far from Brighton. Believed to have been formed in the last age, it's the UK's longest dry valley, and is home to an array of wild flowers, particularly in spring and early summer.
A variety of walking trails are available, including one down to the base of the valley that allows you to fully appreciate its scale. The site was home to an amusement park in the Victorian era, remains of which can still be seen today around the top of the valley, adding some historical interest.
There's plenty of parking (free for National Trust members) outside the Devil's Dyke restaurant. From here there are sweeping views north to the High Weald and Surrey Hills.

Stunning views of the south downs, even see the sea in the distance from 2 sides. Vintage inn restaurant there too. Never eaten there but staff are friendly and accommodating.

There are lots of trails to do here.
There is parking, and an ice cream van for a treat after a hike.
I used the sussex walks app for a trail that was easy to follow.
It's not too steep, but it is hilly.
Brighton is only 20 minutes away for (lots of halal) food

Lovley place to go for long and short walks with or without a dog! Some of the paths are a little steep and some have steps, but was not too challenging. Views were stunning.

Devil's Dyke is an amazing location with the best view of Sussex, ever. So many great views and so many walking routes to discover. Perfect for a dog walk, picnic or basically any excuse you need to get outside and enjoy the view from the top of the Dyke. The only complaint I have is the overly harsh parking situation, it's a bit messy and always busy. For example I went there at 7pm on a Summer Sunday evening and there were 2 confused couples by the parking ticket machine not sure if they had to pay or not, when I looked it had a sign saying "parking changes apply from dawn until dusk" which seems rather questionable seeing as the sun was setting? Is that dusk? Why not just have "9am to 8pm" like the rest of Brighton? A weird, annoying quirk in an otherwise perfect setting.
