Fantastic little cottage for two to get away, everything you need for self catering or within easy reach of a pub if you don't. York is only 8 miles away. Lots of other places to see within easy reach. With great views and horses in paddocks in front of you. Excellent hosts and even after cats to keep you company if you need a distraction. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend there and look forward to returning.

Went on a visit with Pontefract racecourse, lots of information and opportunities to ask questions. We saw a demonstration of how the horses are retrained and met the ex racers with plenty time to give polos and pet the horses.

A lovely, well looked after place. You can definitely tell alot of time and hardwork goes into taking care of the horses. The owners Pam and Kevin were very helpful and informative about the horses. Would definitely recommend getting in touch if you're interested in racehorses and their rehabilitation after racing.

Very knowledgeable, well run outfit doing good things. I bought their old horsebox and found New Beginnings both honest in their description and willing to help when l had a problem going to collect it. We would certainly trust them to take the same approach when rehoming their horses.
