A lovely community multipurpose facility.
Good prices for a cuppa!
Good food!
Excellent little Post Office.
Small inside play area for children.
Comfortable seating.
Always very warm when the heating is on.
A watchful eye is always prowling about.
Only downside is the carpark, which is generally always full.

Visited the folk hall this morning to have a catch up with a mate.we had the full English breakfast. Amazing value for money at just under £6. The quality of the ingredients were spot on. Ive paid more than double the price of this in the city centre for a breakfast half as good as this. Also Yorkshire tea is only a £1 a mug. Again in then city centre it’s more than double easy. Also the baked goods are amazing to & all homemade. Will definitely go back as the lady’s serving were lovely & polite. 👍🏻

Lovely atmosphere in this lovely little cafe at New Earswick Folk Hall. Attentive staff esp Charlotte Ward. Shes amazing nothing is too much trouble.
I had a lovely fruit scone butter and jam and a mug of coffee. They have amazing food cooked to order, good value and good quality portions.Thank you and see you soon

Attended a one day conference here. Set up is fantastic. They have a coffee place. Library. Post office. All under one roof. The room we had the meeting in was very well set out. The staff were very attentive. The food laid on was excellent. And tea and coffee available all day. Really enjoyed the day there.

Love the Folk Hall. Use the post office regularly and all the staff are so friendly and helpful. Often go in the cafe too. Very dog friendly and lovely food. A great asset to have on my doorstep

Went here for a convention last week. For a con the venue itself looked lovely.
However. I'm only granting 2 stars as of my encounter with the food services.

The cafe had some of the worst food options I had ever seen. The breakfasts had ended mere minutes before I ordered so had to try pick something I wanted from the vile lunch menu.
Specials were not listed so only saw the sausage rolls and park pies after I had ordered as they were just flung on the counter.
Other than those 2 items I struggled to find anything even slightly meaty.
I reluctantly ordered a vegan bahjie burger.
The bun had been cut half way through VERTICALLY. And what's worse it had not been cut into once but TWICE.
There were no knives available for the customers so I had to rip my bun open for this to work.

Then the HIDDEOUSLY OVERPRICED burger tasted beyond awful and I didn't even finish it. I preferred hunger over this food.

Was going to ask for a refund but staff attitude was repelling. Nobody seemed to want to be there.
