As the summer playscheme wraps up, we wanted to share our appreciation for the effort put into making these past three weeks enjoyable for our daughter. The organisation was solid, and we liked the variety of activities offered. Communication was consistent, and we always felt informed, even with the occasional late evening phone calls.

My daughter had a good time, made new friends, and gained confidence, particularly during the trips. We're happy with the positive impact this playscheme has had on her.

Generally (salaried) staff are professional and caring when accessing services though as with any service provider there may be lapses here and there, from my personal experiences (salaried) staff have been professional, helpful, kind and at times also going over and above whats expected - thanks so much, may you all be blessed immensely. Some nice childhood memories from the 80s and 90s.... The legend Saleh Gajia is such a kind, gentle and caring worker (can't recall meeting a person before of his temperament and humble character) - was a brilliant youth worker too from way back in the days. However.....

This "Muslim Community" Centre SHOULD not be seen as a representative of Muslim residents in Cazenove area let alone Hackney (which has over 35,000 residents of Muslim faith background of various hues & denominations ) or the entire North London as this Centre's Membership barely consists of any :-

Local Cazenove/Hackney Muslim women (of ANY background)
Local Cazenove/Hackney white Muslims (of ANY background)
Local Cazenove/Hackney black Muslims (of ANY background)
Local Cazenove/Hackney Turkish Muslims
Local Cazenove/Hackney Turkish-Cypriot Muslims
Local Cazenove/Hackney Bangladeshi Muslims
Local Cazenove/Hackney Somali Muslims
Local Cazenove/Hackney Pakistani Muslims
Local Cazenove/Hackney Bangladeshi Muslims
Local Cazenove/Hackney Nigerian Muslims
Local Cazenove/Hackney Ghanaian Muslims
Local Cazenove/Hackney Gambian Muslims
Local Cazenove/Hackney Palestinian Muslims
Local Cazenove/Hackney Algerian Muslims
Local Cazenove/Hackney Moroccan Muslims
Local Cazenove/Hackney Senegalese Muslims
Local Cazenove/Hackney Balkans region Muslims

The one star review given is due to the later part as this centering and conflation of ethnicity and faith has caused and continues to cause ENORMOUS considerable damage and harm to our diverse local Muslim communities across Hackney (based on direct views of heads/founders of other local Muslim background community organisations) .....having a monopoly over / gate-keeping the use of "Muslim Community" is totally wrong. Hope to see in my lifetime a local Black Muslim (Member) reach the very top of the Centre's leadership board thus gaining basic human equality.

Hope to also see the Centre under well overdue and much needed new leadership from within its existing Membership (even though it may be an extremely narrow demographic), as its current Chairman may have been there as long as Bashar Al-Assad or Kim Jong Un. The Chairman's life long wildest dream and fantasy has been to become a politician/Councillor though has continously failed quite a number of attempts so far - inevitably a day will come when his dream becomes a reality as unflinching party support, arguably at a level of religiousity some may say, usually is rewarded back by political parties.
