Called to get an update on a referal from my optician which was sent over a month ago, and it hasn't even been opened yet. I've been with this practice for over 25 years and it's levels of service has gone dramtically downhill, especially in the last 5 years.

Sharon just booked me a telephone appointment. I received “outstanding service”. She was patient, understanding, polite and kind. I also had a telephone call back with Mandy the Nurse Practitioner, who was equally as helpful. Just spoke with Georgie who was excellent and very proactive in booking me an appointment. I cannot rate this surgery high enough. Having been a patient here for over 6 years, they are absolutely brilliant. I have needed their help far more than usual over the last 10 months due to constant chronic illnesses and they have been consistent, helpful and super efficient whenever I have needed them- nothing is too much trouble. For those complaining about the phone line wait times, please remember they receive a huge constant stream of phone calls. If you wait on in the telephone queue they will get to you, and are always accommodating. Remember the ladies on reception are fighting fire with the number of patients needing appointments versus those appointments available, please be kind. (I say this as I sat in the waiting room this week and listened to a man be very rude to the receptionist). Great work team, you are all wonderful.

I cannot believe how far this surgery has fallen in service and quality, Yes the staff are under pressure, unfortunately they’re not the only ones. Several times over the last few months we have tried to get appointments for our children and ourselves and it is nothing short of ridiculous. I wasn’t aware reception staff were qualified doctors, My wife is on hold now and it’s been over 53minutes! Oh the surgery doesn’t open until 830, I rang at 830 and was 17th in line.

Just got through and was then put back on hold?

I wonder if there is a correlation between difficulty in gp appointments and 6hr waiting times in A&E?

What fantastic service, phoned at 2.15 for a nurses appointment, got a cancellation for 3.15 the same day and was seen bang on time by a lovely really helpful lady. Great all round service and lovely, pleasant receptionist.

Been at this practice many years and seems I always have to really push to get my child's problems listened too. Waited over 3 weeks for an appointment to then be told that their breathing problems weren't really an issue.

Both my wife and I have used the North Petherton Surgery for almost 14 years. Throughout that time, we have been extremely pleased with the medical attention, care, courtesy and kindness we have experienced from the doctors, nurses, pharmacists and receptionists. We have never had a problem getting an appointment and rarely had to wait more than 10 minutes. We have left the area to move northwards to be closer to family in the NW and NE. Our major concern about moving was would we be able to find such a good medical practice in our new location. The jury's out!

My family has been with the surgery for about 3 years and I’m extremely disappointed. It was okay in the beginning but now it’s a real struggle to get them to see my 2 year old for anything! Last year she had an ear infection and after a week of her being tortured by a fever (after a negative PCR) and me constantly phoning in and asking for someone to check her up a doctor saw us .. in the carpark!! Unreliable especially if you have small children!
