We could not have found a better home for mum to move into. Everyone there has gone above and beyond to welcome her, and despite mum having some complex needs, this did not matter to the wonderful caring staff there,who really do make you feel like family.

We are so happy that we chose Oaklands, they have gone out of their way to support both my mum and us as a family and it is such a relief knowing she is in safe hands and we don't need to worry about her getting the care she needs

Oaklands has been an eye opener for me. It’s lovely to see a carer with plenty of time to spend with each resident. Not rushing off . The call system is brilliant. Such a good idea. The staff are all very warm and friendly and cannot wait to hear about our day, as well as the residents who live here. It is like a family, where they all muck in together, they all get along with each other. Nothing is too much trouble and they go above and beyond to make sure everyone is ok. They keep their residents very clean with regular baths or showers and thus so far has been amazing!!! The carers love to do their duties and you can really see it. I’d choose this beautiful country home, over and over again. The surroundings are just beautiful. The internal layout is lovely. And they continue with the upkeep of the property. The garden is constantly being looked after aswell. Which indicates a warm welcome on arrival. Security of the property is very safe, you can neither enter or leave, without someone opening the door FOR YOU. These lovely people were made for this wonderful home. You’ve got to love your job to be a true carer, and I believe there are true carers in this rare find. We are very lucky to have Oaklands.

Visited in a professional capacity today and felt the need to provide a review. I was greeted by Donna who checked my ID and made me feel very welcome to the home. Nic the home manager demonstrated a real passion for care provided to her residents and in building a team around her that have a passion in care. It was a pleasure to meet some of the residents, who were happy and treated with respect whilst having great banter. I have visited many homes and this one shows a genuine interest in its residents and all staff demonstrated they enjoy their roles, from housekeeping to care roles. Thank you Donna and Nic for showing me around and making me feel so welcome.

Mum went to live in Oaklands 18 months ago due to her advanced Alzheimer's and died a couple of weeks ago. Naturally we had heard all the negative stories about homes and were fairly anxious, however we consider ourselves extremely lucky that mum was looked after here. She was treated with care, consideration and compassion and the staff went beyond what should have been expected of them in ensuring that she was as happy as she could possibly be.
