I wanted to wait a couple of weeks after finishing my counselling course to see how it helped me without a booked session so I could review honestly.

Well I cannot sing Thier praises enough, it doesn't sound like much but I went for a haircut somewhere id never been before and was able to process and talk through how I felt and didn't panic or cancel. This is MASSIVE for me and something I wouldn't of been able to do at the start of the year. Every week I was greeted by a friendly face and with patience and kindness and when I had to cancel (with appropriate notice) due to illness or overwhelm they were so kind and never once made me feel bad about it. My counsellor was amazing and at first I was nervous as I am uncertain around unfamiliar men but the pairing was logical and actually really helped me work some things through that I wasn't expecting to, a real trust the process moment!

For anyone considering going through this process, it will help! I really found that whilst I'm still having rough days I feel I have the tools to help myself process healthily and readily and the team at open door were such a huge part of that! I've done therapies in the past but this really was hugely helpful and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone struggling!

To the whole open door team, from the bottom of my heart truly thank you. I am not sure the state I would be in now if I had not started there, thank you! ?
