I had surgery here on Thursday, I can not praise the staff of this clean & well run hospital enough. They were professional, kind & caring. I went home the same day but they said I was more than welcome to stay in overnight on Boddington ward so Iโ€™d be well looked after (I donโ€™t doubt that for a moment). Thank goodness for the NHS & itโ€™s wonderful staff!!

Love this Hospital. Much better than the PRUH. Everyone from the phlebotomists, reception, nursing staff and doctors are brilliant. They actually listen to you and make you feel at ease. No stone is unturned to find out what's wrong with you, regarding tests, etc First rate service - excellent.

I visited the rheumatology department yesterday (11th November). My first ever visit to Orpington Hospital and I was very impressed by the cleanliness and the staff. I had a consultation with Mr Benjamin Clarke, rheumatologist, and I cannot praise him enough. He had a lovely manner and explained my diagnosis of osteoarthritis clearly and succinctly. He was so easy to talk to and very helpful and efficient. I can't praise him enough and will be grateful if you can pass my comments to him. He also wore nice shoes which I commented to him lol

Tucked away down a suburban road. Sign posting for its location is dyer. All hale Google Maps.

Mid size hospital with a testing centre which I needed to use.

Covit testing is becoming the norm now. This is my local test centre and because I dont drive I was allocated this unit to take care of pre-surgery testing.

I found it after a couple of miss turns.

Carpark is on the small size and expensive. What you going to do. Its seems that this part of the hospital experience now!

I was fortunate to have my midwife appointments at the antenatal clinic in this hospital. At my last appointment, the midwife advised me to have a checkup at PRUH right away. There they discovered I had been leaking amniotic fluid. Luckily, I was induced within hours, and both baby and I are fine. I canโ€™t thank the midwifery team enough for taking such excellent care of me during pregnancy. The service was far superior to what I had received in previous pregnancies- with more appointments and more thorough checks-, and they went far beyond my expectations.

Nurses are friendly and very helpful. Second hand books available to buy from hospital shop when you are bored. Walk in blood tests facilities (usually approx. 1 hour wait, sometimes more - no matter what time you get here) available. However, if you arrive after 330pm (even though it closes at 430pm), you may not get seen because the wait was too long. So you may end up paying for the car park without the services you need. Outpatient dermatology clinic is moving out to Beckenham Beacon. Hospital building looks a bit run down and floors can be better cleaned. But despite all the above, service is always courteous which matters the most. Try to crack a joke and make the nurses smile - they'd love it!
