The 2018 Open Doors brochure shows the remarkable standard OPT sets for itself, as do its 'On foot' books. I'm particularly grateful for the way OPT ensured that the Martyrs' memorial was cleaned, as a way of marking its 75th anniversary.

My wife and I moved to Oxfordshire about a year ago and are so thankful for the work of the Oxford Preservation Trust. We especially love the walks around Boars Hill and North Hinksey - such a great way to get out into nature and yet so close to the city — these walks have been a balm during the COVID-19 lockdown period.

Total joke of an organisation. People have gifted land to these people in order to protect it from developement or neglect. Many of their paddocks are full of a poisonous weed Ragwort and the trust does nothing to prevent it from spreading. This land then becomes useless to be graze by horses. Shame on the trust and it’s director.

Well, this organisation didn't prevent the dreadful flats (five five storey incredibly ugly tombstones) on the very edge of Port Meadow preventing views of the dreaming spires, rising above the tree line and destroying any sense of timelessness and replacing it with the unmistakeable feel of a planning error or worse, collusion.
