Great small harbour, has lock gates that enable the harbour to remain full when the tide falls. Many shops, resteraunts and food shops round the edge. Good walk out to the headland and some beaches from the far side of the harbour. Ferry runs to Rock village on the other side of the estuary from the harbour at high tides and the from the beach at low tide.

Great village to visit. We parked in the car park and walked down to the town centre.

There were all the shops open and lots of people walking around enjoying the atmosphere and ambience.

The harbour is really big, custody by the seagulls and boats offering trips to sea the seals.

Lots of children and dogs between the visitors. Nice narrow streets and beautiful houses decorated with flowers.

Can get very busy here at peak season. Recommend parking at the top of Padstow in one of its many carpark and walk down. Can be a bit much for young children especially in hot weather. On this trip, we walked through the harbour to the beach where it was a lot more quiet. The views are stunning

Padstow although made famous by Rick Stein is a wonderful place to visit. Yes it's busy and yes there are lots of shops selling hats and sticks of rock, but underneath all of this, beats the heart of a working fishing village and harbour. You can spend hours sitting on the harbours edge watching the world go by. Parking is plentiful, and of course it's on the Camel trail, so easily reached by bike. In my opinion, the presence of Rick Stein and his businesses hasn't taken away any of its charm.

The harbour in Padstow is a lovely location and well worth a visit. The location is home to some great facilities such as the Lobster Hatchery and of course Rick Stein's seafood bar which is a superb place for lunch. If you're in Padstow it's well worth a visit.

Even on a rainy day, padstow is well worth a visit. Would I be in a rush to go back? Probably not.

There's plenty of cafes and shops to look around, but saying that we were done after a few hours. You can probably stretch it to a full day out if you take the boat tours etc.
