My vulnerable, older and extremely distressed father has been held here against his will for several months. Solicitors aware. This is an extremely traumatic experience. You can not speak to anyone in charge. This is a satanic play pen at the cost of your loved ones lives. Do not let your loved ones into this evil prison. What my proud father went through here with his mental health is an utter utter disgrace to humanity.

Disgraceful hospital. Absolutely no help to me at all. I was left on my own distressed multiple times. My family said staff were difficult to get ahold of. I honestly feel as if they did not care about me both of the time I have been admitted here. The food is atrocious and I was served ‘roast potatoes’ that were literally raw and looked as if they hadn’t been cooked at all. If I were to need hospitalisation again myself and my family would do anything possible to avoid me being admitted to this hospital.

Some of the care staff was lovely but as for the support team and management they was useless and they didn’t support my son who was feeling suicidal whatsoever we had a meeting which they said he would not be released until they sorted out some sort of accommodation but they released him with no where to go and was homeless and feeling worse than he did before he went to parklands hospital I find this disgusting they are supposed to be there for people who need and want help all they was interested in was kicking him out on the streets with no support or backup plans for him contacted the council and they was disgusted with the way my son was treated they should have sorted some where for him to stay if your loved ones are in this place record the meetings as they say one thing and don’t follow it up

My mother was in Parklands hospital from Oct 18 to Aug 19 with Alzheimers and the quality of care she received there was absolutely second to none. Every member of staff on her ward (Elmwood) from the cleaner to the consultants did their absolute best and treated my mum with the love, care and respect you would show your own family member. The level of communication, care and support given to us was also amazing through a very difficult time and we wish she never had to leave their care. Amazing nurses and care assistants doing a difficult job with the upmost care & love. We sincerely thank the whole team and will always remember them.

Social worker and nurses were great,First Dr not so good Would not give me any info. My husband has cataracts and has very poor vision also is very deaf, Was in tears when I phoned him because he thought he was going blind. Complained to Hospital Management .and there was a big improvement. He is on Beechwood ward and because of his physical condition was judged as not having mental capacity to make decisions,.

I have been very impressed with the care, understanding and respect the wonderful nursing and care staff gave to my wife over the eleven months she was in Elmwood ward.
Their commitment and dedication was a pleasure to see and when any problems arose I was kept informed immediately.
