Technically free but donations are welcome and well worth it. Had a wander around the park next to the heritage centre and decided to check out the walled garden. Brilliant! Not only are there lots of historically grown plants there's a fairy walk and a rebuilt 15th century barn (sorry no photos of the barn you'll have to go see it yourself). Cafe and locally focused museum there is good if you have kids. Parking across road is ANPR and takes card or cash for payment. First hour is free. George and Dragon pub just over bridge if you fancy a pint or a snack or both.

A wonderful place to visit. The garden is blooming and the fairy walk is fun. I loved the little house for the tooth fairy. The shop is a great place to find little keepsakes, cards, artwork and lots of interesting stuff about the witches that were hanged on Pendle Hill. Coffee shop has a good selection of food, beverages at great prices.

We came here by coincidence. We had a free day to just wander, and realized the place was really close to where we had just eaten. This fun location has a ton of information about local architecture, history, and culture. The Fairy Trail was lovely and the walled garden was beautiful. The nearby park had a wonderful war memorial as well. Such a great spot to spend an afternoon!

I was going to give a 4 * as for false information on the site but the museum was absolutely brilliant.
The museum opens at 12pm not 10am and there is a charge for the museum of £5 & £4 for concessions. Carer get in for free.
The museum was about the Bannister family & the 12 pendle witches, the lead witch Alice Nutter. The house give the history from the Timber frames from the 1400s to the wallpaper shown in the 1950s.
Lots of information and turbulent history.
There is a cafe- Heritage cafe which is open at 10am and the walled garden.
Threshold open at 12pm.
There is car parking in a small car park or across the road an anpr car park at £1 an hour.
A fantastic museum in Barrowford, pendle.
There is a lift for the disabled so can access all the museum.
Staff are friendly with great customer service.

Actual opening hours 12-4. The museum is connected to a lovely cafe where we spent 15-20 minutes whilst waiting for the museum to open. The cafe was very, very popular (Wednesday morning) and most tables were reserved for that afternoon. Museum was informative and went into the history of the Bannister family, changes made to the house 15th-18th century and the story of the Pendle witches. Fab gift shop! Really enjoyed our visit. Parking is over the road, £1 per hour.
