I'm a member so I'm somewhat biased, but then I wouldn't have joined if it wasn't a "good thing" for me in the first place. A friendly and good natured general atmosphere/vibe and it's family friendly including (well behaved and on a lead) dogs are welcome. If anyone wants to know more about the Rec Club and what's happening and what's avaliable, then I think it'd be easier for them to check out the website/social media feed/Google reviews/etc. because there's a lot of things going on and a lot of "choices". Recent building improvements have been made and more are planned, so the Club will be shut from 5th January to 18th January 2025 for bar alterations. It'll re-open on the 18th with local rock band " Gumbox" plus support from "Subgroup 1", starting at 8pm with £free entry.

Mike and the team are so welcoming, we love the new look, and are enjoying the great events that the rec club have been hosting, as well as just catching up with friends whilst watching the sports, on a weekend!!

Went for motorcaravan group, always been told if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything but this doesn't help to improve things when there's an issue. Club and premises ok if a bit of a tired club house but the back gate at the end of the car park, the one with the lock, needs a little bit of attention as there's a concrete step which means disabled scotters can't use it. The skips for our rubbish were full so we couldn't use them and were positioned right in the centre of the rally area, this meant that a number of vans were inundated with flies from someone elses rubbish. May I suggest they are placed nearer the site entrance. Staff were pleasant and it's fairly close to Pickering centre and the shopping areas snd Choo Choo trains for Harry Potter to Hogwarts fans.

Great spot, fab ale on draught. Football club to watch, pool to play, Sky sports etc, all gravy and they have some brilliant entertainment on at times!
