Update: If you are in danger of becoming homeless, the Homeless Board may help, but only in the beginning. They're designed to aid the homeless as well. I did meet one worker who at first genuinely wanted to see people housed, but later when she heard that her sister organization had caused our impending homelessness, she immediately didn't want to deal with us and was very rude.

A popular scam in Tampa and Pinellas is to get government money without work or effort by only giving lists of other places (that also give lists). They spin that as "Referrrals" but if you don't consider Google a referral service, this wouldn't be accurate. No further aid.

This won't be the case with the Homeless Leadership Board. If you get a list, it won't be a signal to "go away" it' will offer a service. If you are charismatic enough, they will help for a while.
