The pit pony sanctuary is situated in an idyllic setting and all of the animals look very well cared for. However, there have been two occasions when we have been made to feel extremely unwelcomed by you.

The first instance was when my mother and I were walking down a woodland path opposite your land, which I believe you do not own, and you were cutting down trees. There was plenty of room for you to move out of the way but you did not. Instead, you rudely told us to turn around and go a different way. A poor man with his young daughter was forced to fight his way through bushes of brambles because you wouldn't move! We did not mind turning around at all. However, the way in which you spoke to us was unacceptable.

The second situation was when we were trying to use the *PUBLIC* footpath that crosses your land. We were slightly lost because we were following all of the public footpath signs but when we got to your land you had chained all of your gates up. The man on the yard could clearly see us but instead of offering us assistance he let the dogs out on us. Luckily the dogs only barked at us and did not attack us.

I found the owner to be very rude and aggressive man. Not a pleasant experience.

UPDATED TO THE REPLY: I wasn't trespassing, I was actually standing in the fence sty taking photos of the Canadian Goose with a zoom lens, Then you you started screaming and waving a club or stick about. I was happy to chat to you but unfortunately you done all your ranting at a distance still waving that stick about. I'd calm down if I was you or you'll pull a stroke or something,, there's more important things in life than a plot of grass 😂

The woman is very rude extremely aggressive and we did was ask for direction on public footpath

Avoid

Update to response from owner:

I tried to show you my map which was on my phone but you just kept shouting abuse and waving around a stick.

It seems to me that you are deliberately trying to discourage people from using the public footpath running through your land.

I noticed that you had chain linked up access points to force people into walk up the main road rather than through the field.

I understand you have an sinister motive to try and claim the public footpath on your land as disused to avoid how you say “trespassers” using a public right of way, I have reported this to the land registry and can promise you I will use this path monthly to insure you do not get your way.

Smile life’s to short, a little like yours and your partners temper it seems 👍🏻😂

I've not been to visit but how can he call these horses pit ponies when all the mines have long gone maybe 2 decades or more. From reading others reviews I don't think I would be going to visit any time soon, and as for the charity bit I'm not sure what to think.
