I have supported Plan UK for many years during which time I sponsored two children, the second child has just graduated.

I will NOT be sponsoring another child through Plan UK. I'm utterly disgusted that within all the excessive marketing material I receive (I'm already a sponsor, it is not a good use of funds) there hasn't been ONE SINGLE mention of the plight of the children in Palestine.
I will find a charity with integrity who supports ALL children regardless of whether or not they fit the political narrative.

Felt pressured to sign up to donate on the doorstep and when I refused I was 'reminded' of the poor children in Gaza and Ukraine, left without a donation.

From my research, letters sent back and the fact that I have supported a child for a number of years I would state that they do good work. I am disappointed in people leaving negative reviews just because they were approached, it is a charity they need your money and support!

I have sponsored three different children over the past 21 years, since my son was four years old. I wanted to support the charity and thought it would be beneficial to support a child that my son might be able to connect with. The updates I received from Plan regarding the village from where our sponsored children lived were informative and I always took the time to discuss them with my son to show him the hardship these children faced on a daily basis and how the help of Plan made such a difference to their lives providing education and simple things like clean water that we take for granted. I would highly recommend this charity and urge anyone considering a donation or a sponsorship that this organisation and the children are a very worthy cause.

have received 2 letters from the child i am supporting per month written by a neighbour. no acknowledgement of my letters or gifts.

i had envisaged sending a few parcels per year like socks, underwear t shirts books pencils skipping ropes balls ribbons etc. a good sized parcel - and if too much for my sponsor child could be shared amongst her siblings or friends in the village - however i can only send 150g which was 2 hair ribbons and a few pencils. i will continue the financial support but feel the gift sending is a waste of time when it could benefit these children considerably.

I paid £20 a month to sponser a girl in Ethiopia for just over a year.
I received 2 letters that were written by someone else. No acknowledgement regarding the letters my family sent!!
No information what so ever about the girl and if the money was being used to school, cloth her etc.
One grainy black and white photo copy of the supposed girl.
Biggest con ever!!
Stay well clear and put your money whereit is needed in your own countries charities.

Ducked out of the rain under their awning and was immediately, and rudely, asked to leave. Meanwhile, several straight/white men brought their pints from the neighboring bar and drank. Not sure what this place is, but smells of potential profiling.
