I went for a ankle x-ray 6 weeks ago and was told nothing is wrong and I can walk on it in a week and be back active in 2 despite my ankle being terribly swollen and painful. Said I didn’t need a ultrasound but 6 weeks on I am waiting another 6 weeks for a ultrasound now because my local doctors have to refer me for one instead of them and I have a suspected torn ligament that was somehow not thought of or noticed by any of the staff at the hospital.

Visited pontefract hospital on the 14 / 03/ 25. Was an hour early . But I was seen early. Doctor told me I was to have bloods done. So as I was going out of doctors room. Nurse said , do you need bloods , I said yes . Therefore she asked me to take a seat , then gave me documents to have bloods done. But failed to tell me that I had to go downstairs to have my bloods taken. I was waiting 45 minutes. I was getting impatient. So I went up to receptionist and asked , why has no one been to take my bloods. She said, you have to go downstairs to have bloods. Better communication is needed . I wasn’t familiar with pontefract hospital , not living there.

I’ve been using physio at Pontefract hospital for nearly 6 months and I’ve now been signed off. John Lane who looked after me was so welcoming and very knowledgeable. He’s helped me massively with my back problem. If you get John as your physiotherapist then you’re going to be ok if you listen to his advice.

Wonderful service, receptionist was lovely, thank you, GP very kind, spoke directly with my 12 year old boy, listened and responded accordingly. Pharmacy team were quick and very kind 🤍🤍

Just had hip replacement surgery done staff were amazing from the anesthetist who assured me that epidural was the best instead of anesthetic he didn't lie amazing to the ward staff my training nurse was brilliant and she will make an excellent nurse l would recommend pontefract hospital all excellent

Nice clean hospital with polite staff (shame about the locals! Lol, always have at least a few giving you odd looks on every visit!)

I had a very nice experience when visited this hospital. Came with my wife for an abdominal scan . The appointment was at 13:50 and we were seen 5 minutes later. We were in and out in under 20 minutes. And because there was free 20 minutes parking we didn't have to pay for anything. Thank you again to the nurses and receptionista.

This evening I took my mum to the urgent care unit at Pontefract, Thank you for a good experience, The Triage Sister Sarah was lovely, caring and made my mum feel like she was in safe hands, The health care assistant, was lovely and explained everything that she was doing. And the Doctor gave my mum a check over,listening and reading through her hospital notes,giving clear answers and advice. Thanks Pontefract
