My band Boys of Brass performed here last night for a private 40th Birthday function. It is without a doubt a very underrated venue. The hall we were in is fairly small, with maybe enough for 100 or so punters with the bar at the back. We squeezed onto the stage no bother as a seven piece outfit. Ale prices as expected are great, and the management plus staff were all real pleasant and dead easy to work with. I realise the days of 'Clubland' aren't what they used to be, and that was reflected somewhat in the slightly older clientele. If you're local pop in for a beer and enjoy their friendly relaxed vibe. We'll return for sure.
