I give 5 stars today, just purely based on the staff. They were amazing and made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I really appreciated their kindness, humour and hard work. I really hope they get treated well within the NHS and a well deserved pay increase in the future. I want to say a special thanks to Rene, who really relaxed me and made me chuckle. Divina who took the time to pull the curtains and talk to me when I was emotional and Lucy who awoke me after my op and was so relaxed and patient with me. Unfortunately, I don't remember many other names to write but, honestly, a massive thank you to the staff, I'm so grateful for your care πŸ™πŸ»β˜ΊοΈ

I am absolutely disgusted by pooles hospital operator service.I was constantly put through to the wrong dept by them. I was on the phone for about a hour, and spoke to two different department numerous times which wasn't the one I asked for. But God forbid you should get cross or ask for a senior to put a complaint in, the first they get all upset and hang up , the second you have write to some one other then the hospital and go through some complaints procedure. The nurses and doctors are excellent but some of there admin staff need urgent retraining.

I came to Poole hospital yesterday to have a small skin cancer removed. The care that I received was amazing. I could not have been treated as well in a private hospital. The dermatology department could not have been kinder, and made my procedure painless. I was slightly nervous beforehand, but I needn't have worried. Thank you so much for your excellent care.

All staff were really kind and helpful, created a welcoming environment in a very stressful situation. A special thanks to the head and neck SDEC.

I visited A&E for complications with tonsillitis that was restricting my throat (breathing, talking, swallowing) and I was triaged within a minute or two of being there. The receptionist was absolutely lovely, the A&E doctor was also really kind and lovely. I had blood work ran, fluids and pain meds and moved to a ward in a hour or two of being there. I got moved to the head and neck SDEC. There were two nurses/doctors/specialists who were helping me in this ward, they both were extremely lovely and helpful. I believe one was called Georgia but I cannot remember the other lady’s name.

Honestly I was putting off going for two days due to feeling anxious, they both really made the experience a lot better and also made me well enough to be able to not have to do an overnight stay. I appreciate how lovely and helpful they were.

I had an appointment at the Endoscopy department at Poole Hospital today. Originally should have been at Wimborne but was advised earlier that there was an issue. My appointment was on time, I was looked after from start to finish and completely informed about everything. I was at no stage pressured to move on as I felt extremely sick and giddy. The team are what patient care is all about and they should be very proud of their excellence.

Having never been before, I arrived at the hospital main entrance and was immediately confused by the lack of a reception desk, and a bewildering array of colour coordinated signs. None of the listed departments included the one I was looking for. I was struggling to walk and feeling unwell so the next 20 minutes wandering around, asking directions, and being sent from pillar to post were uncomfortable. My appointment time was fast approaching so it's just as well I arrived early. When I eventually found the ward I needed, there was no indication whatsoever of the department name I had been given to attend. The staff here were all very friendly and helpful but the signage seems designed to confuse and frustrate. The hospital itself is fairly typical of an aging facility and seems to function well. For future reference, always enter via A&E.

When I arrived at A&E there was nobody at arrival area to attend to patients. Fortunately I wasn't critical. I eventually got the attention of a member of staff. When I entered the department the LCD display was showing 1hr 6min wait. After 2 and a half hours I still had not been seen, I asked the member of staff how much longer it would take. The screen was now showing 4 and a half hours, then I was told it would be another two hours. I had my disabled son with me who hadn't eaten since lunchtime. When I returned to the desk I was completely ignored by the staff member at the desk for about 10mins. You probably need to train staff that if someone comes to the desk it is their job to ask if they need assistance
