We came to stay for a night and the centre had just had a water leak. The way the staff handled it was absolutely brilliant. Really really nice people that pulled all the stops out to make our experience absolutely faultless and despite all the upheaval it was causing them we were not disadvantaged or put-out at all. Fill out up with a bumper breakfast of insane quality the next morning. Will definitely be back and next time will do one of their experiences with the family. So happy to have found a place where energy, enthusiasm and great people are all one place.

Had an amazing week completing my gold DofE residential here in Portland! The staff were phenomenal - enthusiastic, cheerful and always eager to help! Highly recommend as you’re bound to leave having made some core memories and great friends!

We booked a day of coasteering/Climbing with a youth group (12-17 year olds). Easy communication with the office. The activities provided were well suited to the capabilities of the group. The instructors were professional, capable and approachable. Stunning locations. Would visit again and highly recommend.

You'll struggle to find a better residential for your kids.

After working on residentials for many outdoor centers, I can confidently say that Portland Outdoor Centre gives the best residential experience.

This is thanks to Jerome's high standards and ambition, which I love and hate...

Because as an instructor these high standards mean it's the hardest work of all the centers, but the experience the kids get is second to none.

Wouldn't change anything about this place.

No day is the same at Portland Outdoor Centre!
I feel privileged to be part of the team and to have been welcomed with open arms by Jerome and their staff. A great start to my career in the outdoors.
Views of Portland Harbour, a walk away from scenic coastline for climbing and Watersports, and an even shorter walk for coffee and cake in the Dorset Adventure Cafe.
What more could you ask for?!

Have used Portland Outdoor Centre for the last 3 summer's bringing multiple groups across for Rock Climbing sessions. All staff we have encountered are extremely professional and very knowledgeable on their area of expertise. They ran fun, engaging activities for all. Jerome and his team do a fantastic Job would highly recommend!
