Nice little Christmas market. Great craft stalls and fantastic food stalls. We had hot food from the Hungry Elephant 🐘 which was delicious. Sampled Cheeses from Porters cheese which were lovely . Bought 4 for £20. Sweet treats from the Dessert Cabin stall ...lush. And a selection of artisan gingerbreads from Agnes ...which we've had before and are gorgeous. 😍 Best thing is the bar was open and it wasn't crazy busy 👍

As a family, we went to see the fireworks display and bonfire. It was very well organised and a great evening. The only downside, in my opinion, is that the outside food stalls were overpriced. Other than that, we had a great evening

Christmas function, first week in Dec, perhaps we were the guinea pigs for the next few weeks? Granted, both the lower floor and upper floor rooms were fully occupied, but does this excuse cold food being dished up? Starters - pate with salad, which consisted of a slice of pate on a bed of shredded lettuce, one sliced baby tomato and around 3 or 4 cucumber slices. If vegetarian... remove the pate and serve the salad!...
Main course... traditional sliced turkey with veg. Dessert... Christmas pudding with cream...

Table service, staff seemed stretched and out numbered for the amount of work required. Hard working and helpful.

Venue...Grasshoppers is popular and a great place to hold large events. Rugby game was included on the day. However, the food let the event down and needs sorting out if we were to book again.

This review is going to upset a few people. I first started coming to Hoppers around 4 years ago started out your typical sports club. Nice place to go and have a drink and watch the rugby. Our family company sponsor hoppers and due to living only
100m away we attend regular throughout the week as my young kids love the play area. One thing I have notice an learnt in my short time of being part of this club is that it’s being held back by the older generation of committee member who seem to want to keep the club as it is instead of driving it forward to the great FAMILY SPORTS CLUB it could be. One thing I will say is that Vicky is a massive asset to Hoppers, if she leaves this club i fear for the profitability (bar had one of its best years according to AGM) and the drive to being family orientated as let’s face it the young ones are the future of this club not the committee!!!

Great to be back at hoppers, staff are friendly, tables outdoors well spread out with hand gel stations. Extra portaloos for customers on site. New food choices with excellent meat and veggie options, decent range of real ales and special guest beers too. Here in May 2021 for Typhoons RUFC training. Well done to grasshoppers staff for keeping to covid19 guidance/rules.
