Over the years Heathfield care home has taken a very poor dip in all areas of care. I sincerely wish I could add something positive about this home. Maybe the design! Comunication between residents, family, and staff is abysmal. Especially on the night shift, majority of staff are new with very little if no experience. Problems keep occurring and not addressed. Forget ringing at the weekend and most nights as they tend not to answer the phone. If you are lucky, you may speak to someone who doesn't understand a clear question and can't relay a clear answer. This is absolutely not a personal atac on an individual but a true fact. The Management are clearly to blame for hiring people with a poor understanding of the English language, also poor experienced if any at all. This has worried me as this should be the absolute bear minimum of requirements. They had some wonderful staff working at Heatherfields but had no interest in encouraging them to stay. Now they're totally dependent on inexperienced agency staff. I feel the residents should be surrounded with familiarity, staff chatting with residents, instead their listening to a staff chatting with one another in the native language. If I have to break down my English to have them understand, then what chance have the residents got. I'm not alone with my concerns as there are numerous families sharing equally concerning problems. Top of the tree of management need to less of a delusional mindset and a more realistic look at their policies, invest in their staff by hiring, training and paying more. This is the only way to retain good high quality level of staff. I look forward to hearing the outcome of hopefully positive changes

My mam received the most appalling care in one of these care homes.Addison Court in Crawcrook
PLEASE READ MY REVIEW ON ADDISON COURT
Just been looking at other reviews of another one of their homes and do not know how they get away with the standards of care.Shocking.
The home my mam was in was absoluy filthy .Ripped holy bedding,dity stained chairs,dirty sticky floors.The place stank of stale urine even through a mask.Never once smelt any disinfectant on any of my visits and I visited everyday. I have tried umpteen times putting photos on my review to show the state of the place but it gets took down when I do which really annoys me. People need to see the state of the place . A camera never lies.

How this man and his senior staff sleep at night is beyond words..Everyone of his homes should be shut down with immediate affect..They are not interested in the care of their residents just their money.They blamed agency staff and staff off due to covid for my mam's poor care . WHY accept another resident if they did not have staff to give them care they deserved. GREED. Just proves only interested in lining their own greedy pockets. They even sent me threatening email of legal action if I did not take my review down.. Everything was true so could not do anything about it. Unbelievable one of .their senior management even putting false 5 star reviews on Google. Frightening to think he has just bought another 3 care homes in Northumberland.Should not be allowed. Noticed he has changed the Prestwick care brand to another name. I wonder WHY. Think we all know
Today 16,02,24 finally put into special measures . This should have been years ago. Hope they check out his other care homes too..

Appalling shocking care homes. Last 2:newest 5 star reviews seen a bit suspect. Within 6 minutes of each both giving 5 stars with no proper name and no comments on why 5:star.. They have no other reviews either . Is this just to get ratings back up
