What a beautiful forest! Definitely recommend spending some time there if you are in the area. Also, I would recommend visiting Thomas Hardy's cottage which is located just outside the forest.

Puddletown Forest is the woodland I frequent the most. I live in Yeovil, and it's possibly the most beautiful forest in the vicinity; if I'm mistaken, I welcome corrections. There might be a few spots within this forest that could benefit from change, particularly addressing the litter around the wild bike jumps. When you visit, please make sure to carry out any waste with you. The tranquility, peace, and abundance of trails are unmatched, and I never tire of exploring this forest.

It's one of the best woodlands in Dorset. It is a stunning forest that makes for a great day out with the kids, hiking and building bivvys. With lots of opportunitie to teach them about all kinds of wildlife. There's also lots of great mountain bike trails, so you need to keep your eye out and your ears open, but the kids love watching the bikes go by. I would recommend it to any local or holiday maker.

Great walk. Good old memories from when I used to ride the trails. Great place. Shame about the roads that criss cross through the forest though. Can never really feal lost in there :/

A wonderful place to bring a dog, a large, scenic area, available to many. There were large views and an enjoyable route, many to chose from.

Awesome place for mtb. Loads of trails. Pretty sure still ain't found them all and we go weekly. Great views aswell.

After working in the area (now we are allowed to exercise else where) I found this little gem of a place, MTB runs all over from easy to hard.
Easy to loop and do again, and with a fantastic view from a few vantage points.
