Purkelly Bros Ltd provided an excellent service and assigned an experienced ground team on our site. As a family home we wanted to make sure we were choosing the right company and making the correct investment, after all getting the foundations right is paramount!

In total the work force carried out 19 piles and a series of ground beams and completed the job to a high standard. We were kept updated all the way and always reassured with any issues. Even in these difficult times with the pandemic, Purkelly demonstrated reliability and reasonable value for the all ground works - I would therefore have no hesitation in recommending this company.

We are a small development company and recently purchased a rather restricted site next to a railway cutting and with very variable geology. We use NHBC for our warranties. The site demanded 100% piling and associated reinforced ground beams. We went through the normal quoting exercise and found fairly similar costs across three companies who work in our area. We chose Purkelly as they promised a complete 'turnkey' footings solution, without any further requirement from our company, other than sensible site prep and access.
They took our SI survey and engineering drawings and speedily produced a complete piling design. They turned up on time and with the right gear and a very decent and courteous bunch of operators. During the drilling, they discovered a complex picture underground, redesigned the piling on the go, produced all the necessary documentation and logs, which ensured that the very exacting standards of NHBC were satisfied. Glen even spent whatever time was necessary talking to the NHBC engineering department and inspector to ensure that they were fully satisfied throughout. The same approach was taken for the digging and fitting of ground beams and the whole job completed very satisfactorily to allow our brickies to attend immediately and start building without delay.
