Quilombo UK was a lovely organisation to volunteer for.

Although my time with them was short, I enjoyed the work that I was given, and it helped me use my paralegal skills and develop my transferable skills.

Adrian and the team were very understanding with my full time work and we managed to sort my hours to work over time.

I'm grateful for the short and sweet experience I had and would recommend volunteering for the organisation.

I volunteered as a researcher from September to January. It was a great experience, contributing to important work with a increasingly relevant ethos at the heart of operations. I had the freedom to dictate the direction of the research whilst also having constant and transparent communication with the line manager to ensure that it correlated with Quilombo's aims. I learnt a lot of transferable skills that I have been able to carry on into my more recent professional roles.

I have worked as a volunteer for Quilombo UK for just over a year now.
I think it is a great place to work to gain experience in how to be professional and responsible.
I love the ethics of the Company in general, especially the "think differently" motto, which for me is so important, as we all have subconscious bias that we need to learn to be aware of and question.

Vile owner - lots of these 5 star reviews are fake. Preys on young volunteers, abusive, threatening behaviour. High turnover of volunteers.

I have now been volunteering for few years with Quilombo UK. It's nice to see a really structured organisation, really professional, working on projects for the community. Definitely learnt new skills while making a difference around me!
