This place has much to recommend it. Friendly and helpful staff. Good kitchen. Very clean toilets. BUT it has two flaws. 1. No parking whatsoever for visitors. 2. A major trip hazard just outside the main entrance. A tapering slope crosses the frontage a few feet beyond the entrance. One of our party, a lady over 70, had a serious fall because of this. She did not have to go to A&E, but she is badly bruised today. This trip hazard is badly lit, and has no warning sign!

Warm, welcoming and nestled in the wetlands. Gorgeous place with loads of information and local activities. Friendly staff and great amenities, love the garden.

but the toilets were in an abhorrent and also derelict condition. They need to be checked more and maybe stricter preventative measures are needed. That kind of put me off.

Great play park outside for children from 2-10yrs old. I only went into the centre so my child could use the toilet, which they always allow you to use and they are always clean. The centre has lots of notices around about different groups, help advice and services, none of which I've ever used, but the centre is light and airy, clean and staff appear friendly and helpful.

Not a pleasant experience. On the day of the event, the toilets were not cleaned properly and the mirrors smeared in the hall. The receptionist would constantly remind us about the time, parading in an out of the hall saying we had to be out by 8pm. Very embarrassing.
The worst part was the return of my deposit.

“I apologise for the delay in refunding your deposit.
Our Finance team is on Annual leave and will be back on the 3rd April, I can get your refund processed and you will receive the deposit by 7th April.
I would really appreciate if you could give us time until then.”
How unprofessional is that? They had my deposit since 31st October, my event was 25th February 2023 and they were telling me to wait until the 7th April 2023 to return my deposit! Of course they had to return my deposit before then, because I made a huge complaint to other external departments.
I would not recommend hiring this place, unless you are prepared to wait months for your deposit.
And the staff? Very unprofessional.

The workers here were really rude and unprofessional when I attended an event here, they stormed in when the time was due to end the event and told everyone to leave, they walked round the guests tables and told us to take our belongings and go or else they would call the police and threatened to keep the booker’s deposit. They are highly unprofessional as they should not have just walked into the event and started shouting, what if a funeral was occurring? Avoid this place at all costs! Although the venue is lovely the staff are horrible.
