Like other reviews I was a host for 50 years with a thriving group and a very good co-ordinator but he could not get any support from head office and as our numbers dwindled and we ran out of “oldies” we were forced to wind up. A shame because we were a lovely group and the helpers had become good friends and it is such a worthwhile charity

Sadly this charity does not recognise long term volunteers and treats them as though they are newcomers.‘I’ve volunteered for 12 years and started our group in 2011. I get no acceptance or recognition. It’s sad. They ignore us and appoint a new coordinator and this person doesn’t answer our emails. I don’t understand their problem but it is not charitable!! There are over 10 very dedicated volunteers in our group and none are acknowledged. It’s very upsetting.

I was a happy volunteer but our coordinator, who worked really hard, just couldn't get the support needed to keep the group going when hosts and drivers left the area. Such a shame for our elderly group members who so enjoyed our gatherings.

I have tried several times this morning to contact this organisation and all I get is music to soothe me, but in listening to it at 20 minutes each time, it begins to infuriate me. Why put that this organisation is open from 9 a.m. when clearly it is not.

They do not pay volunteers expenses. Volunteers should NEVER be out of pocket.
