Absolutely LOVE this place! We have just discovered this little gem and couldn’t be happier. The drinks, the food, the attention to detail and the finest ingredients help make this place one of Newtons best. Lovely owners and lovely staff. Well worth a visit.

We’ve been regular customers at Riddling Rack for a while now, usually visiting on Saturday mornings after the gym. The service can sometimes be a bit slow, but we understand when it’s busy and don’t mind waiting within reason.

However, today was a real disappointment. We went in a little later than usual, just after 1 PM. It was busy, so we expected a slight wait. We were seated, and it took about 10 minutes for our order to be taken—not ideal, but understandable. What wasn’t acceptable was waiting nearly 40 minutes for two cups of coffee. Eventually, we gave up and left.

We walked down the street to another coffee shop, just as busy, and had our drinks in under six minutes. That kind of contrast makes it hard to justify coming back. We love supporting local businesses, but service this slow is simply unreasonable. Hoping to see improvements because we do enjoy the coffee when we actually get it!

Great place for drinks and cuppas and cakes. More recently we attend the baby club on a Tuesday which has been an amazing place to meet other moms and babies ! It’s a great local place to meet and makes such a difference. Highly recommend this place especially if your a new mom and want to meet others

Was staying in the area and heard about this cafe, so walked there on a cold wet day. As soon as I arrived there was a lovely atmosphere and welcome. The hot chocolate was perfect on a cold day and food delicious. Everyone friendly and super welcoming. Highly recommend this place.

We hired the champagne bar for my son's christening. Lovely room and great staff, very accommodating for us bringing in outside catering and room decoration. Friendly staff and great drinks. Would highly recommend.

I love that we have Riddling Rack so close to us. Beautiful wine, amazing olives and fantastic bread and oils. Lovely atmosphere, very relaxed and great service. Thanks again 👍

Booked a table several days in advance for my 50th Birthday to have a couple of hours of cocktails and drinks here before crossing to the local restaurant.

We also called on the day to confirm, we were offered an earlier time to which we said no thanks we would like to keep the original time.

My wife got there 10 minutes before me so she could surprise me with her and my daughter to be told sorry, someone is on that table.

After challenging, she was told no and its on the website that it can't be guaranteed but on the website it asks for special request.

If this is the case, then why ask for special request and bother taking bookings.

Its a good job she didn't turn up with the balloons and decirations that were in the car.
