I cannot express how brilliant Ripon BID has been for me, Ripon, and the amazing support they provide to my small business. From commissioning work from us and recommending our services to other local businesses to sharing valuable information and offering courses (I’m just about to take the TikTok masterclass!), their support has been invaluable.

It also helps that the BID team is incredibly friendly, passionate, and approachable!

We are sooo lucky here in Ripon to have such a supportive BID! There has been lots of free training for small businesses organised by BID. I did the Google Garage and the First Aid workshops - both of which were extremely well-organised, relevant and delivered by people with vast experience in their respective fields.

Ripon BID have been a godsend for our small retail business: they've driven footfall to all areas of the city through seasonal trails, promoted events, cleaned up the streets and added flower tubs/hanging baskets, saved us money on utilities and waste collection, and brought the business community together to bring more events and festivals to the city. Ripon is 'on the up' and buzzing with new businesses opening, and the BID have played a huge role in making that happen. Worth every penny of the levy.

RiponBid made me pay their fee of nearly £800 for an unoccupied property in the centre of Ripon.

I considered that to be unfair, as there was no business operating there and they did not offer me any support.

I emailed and wrote a letter to their fee collection department but they did not make the effort to reply.
