Beautiful beach, plenty of room, golden sands strech for miles. Sea is shallow but can be treacherous. Best to be near lifeguard stations, particularly with young children. Recommend coming here to have a great beach day.

Sadly it was closed so we couldn’t go in but wasn’t much too it. If you want to visit you’ll have to try and park on the local roads most of which are double yellowed

Beautiful Sandy Point by the RNLI lifeboat station. Just be aware of the strong tidal pulls if you swim here.

Fantastic lifeboat station. It has the lot. Lifeboats, Lifeboatmen, Sirens, a tractor, winches and a vegan tea room. Everything you'd expect from a modern lifeboat station. They also provide hot drinks and friendly banter for any frozen birders sheltering in the lee of the building whilst sea-watching at Sandy Point in Winter. Ask them nicely and they'll put a little shot of Tia Maria in your Bovril.
My all time favourite lifeboat station ( and I've been to the one at Wells Next To The Sea). Don't miss it.
