Lovely museum with lots of historical information on the walls, telling stories of past rescues, ferocious storms, and people who were a part of it all. Of course, the lifeboat on display is the main feature. The little shop has various souvenirs on offer, both for adults and children.

free admission . eventhough it is not a 5 stars must-visit attraction but overall it is worth a 5 stars review. here is why. this is one of the oldest local historical museum. friendly and welcoming manager and storyteller ready to answer all the curious lil queries. Poole harbour is legendary world ranking NO.1 longest harbour ( Sydney's one is the 1st for man-made one : museum conservator ). the house of museum itself was aged hundreds years old. on the corner tiny little souvenirs shop offers RNLI testimonials. support the right people.

What would we do without them! A very informative little museum that tells such a story of bravery and human compassion, please if you visit don't forget to leave a donation just a swipe of a credit card leaves just £3 we all need to contribute. A little piece of maritime history...... 👍 A must visit

Lovely little museum and shop, great to see the old lifeboats, which are so different to the ones that the RNLI currently use. Museum volunteers were nice and friendly too.

This is a fantastic little museum and gift shop, they have some fantastic information boards and great gifts you can pick up or souvenirs. The staff in there were great, they are approachable and friendly
