£2 Summer Walk. (1.33 miles, one-way) Well worth it. Make sure you sit on the "talking bench" - great historical information about Southend-on- sea.

As we casually wondered around the peir, this emergency team rushed through and in minutes had a boat in the water and were off, was astonishing too see! We were lucky the lady working the gift shop pointed it out, otherwise we would of missed it! The lady and the gentleman working this Sunday were so friendly and nice so very pleasant! Definitely worth the trip just to chat to them!

Hadn't realised that along with the landside station there is a second one on the end of the pier.
Nice little shop where we were able to buy a few bits to help support the work that these guys do.
You can also see into the area where the boats are kept so if you do visit the end of the pier then it's worth spending a couple of minutes here.

Well, unfortunately, it was closed when we got there. However we met two of the lovely volunteers for the RNLI shop in the sweet little vintage tea shop having tea after their shift.

They were so friendly and open and informative that I just had to give them five stars anyway.

Love pier fishing shame the weather was against us. Nice cafe for a quick bite and mini golf to keep the kids happy. The RNLI has a cute gift shop and the tea room is nice too.

Your reward for getting to the very end of the longest pleasure pier in the world is getting a little look in the lifeboat station, where hopefully you will see the lifeboats and visit the little RNLI souvenir shop.

Nice place to visit for the family 👪. Great walk up the pier with a café that services both hot and cold drinks and a variety of food.
