This review is difficult for me to write but we as a family feel that it's necessary to show our gratitude to the staff and to express our opinions on the home for the benefit of other people in similar situations to the one that we found oursleves in.

My Grammy Yvonne had late stage dementia and we chose Rose Lodge as her home when she left the hospital. She spent the last stages of her life in the nursing suites and the care that she received from the staff went far above what we could of ever asked for. They didn't just care for Yvonne, they loved her and they even had the time to care for us as well. From brushing her hair and putting on classic FM so she wasn't left in a silent room, to bringing us cups of tea and offering us meals when we were there for hours on end in the last few days that she was with us.

We didn't make it when my Grammy decided it was time to leave but Laura held her hand with respect and gave her the dignity that she deserved while she took her last breaths. To you Laura, from the depths of our hearts, thank you. You gave Yvonne the comfort and love that she needed when we weren't able to.

We also want to express our gratitude to Ezinne for sharing your story with us and to Godspower for the dedication, care and attention that comforted us in our time of need. We can't thank either of you enough for the kindness you showed to us all. To the other staff who's names we didn't catch, thank you. We couldn't fault a single one of you and your efforts are appreciated more than we could ever say.

I have visited this care home multiple times and been nothing but impressed on every visit. The staff are great with the elderly living here and you can genuinely tell how much they care for them. It is lovely to see them so well cared for and seems very homely.

Excellent in every way. Caring, professional and cheery staff and run to exceptional high standard.Very clean and airy. The main lounge was lively yet peaceful. A well set menu with a good variety of foods. When my friend moved there and was made to feel welcome immediately with every member of the staff introducing themselves, even the handy man. 100% recommend this care home.

Fabulous Care Home. Managed and run by an amazing strong team of genuinely caring staff.The residents are looked after like their own families. Spotlessly clean beautiful rooms and communal areas.I cannot fault this place. Everyone goes above and beyond what is expected of them to care for each resident.

Think carefully if you want to put your parents in this care home, where they will not receive the care you pay for, they are disgusting to the residents, they will let them sit in pee-peeped diapers. I want to write about this care home, how the management works there. it's a total disaster. The care provided by Bond Care Summerfield nursing home in Halifax is terrible. Caregivers have no qualifications or training, manager Magda yells at employees in front of residents and care assistants without listening to her employees, director Wendy is arrogant, conceited and yells at employees and she does not provide support at all, she does not listen to employees, she does not care at all if everything works, or if the health care is provided as it should be, she is only waiting for her paycheck. Residents have to wait up to 2 hours to get to the toilet. This care home is already registered with the CQC and is on the list of care homes to be closed.

We moved my mum to Summerfield from another home. She was there for only a few weeks on the care floor. She passed away there . They made my mums last few weeks very happy. The staff were lovely, nurses incredible. It was a lovely home. Her room was lovely and bright , always kept clean . The cleaning staff were very attentive. We observed this even during the night .The staff and nurses kept us informed and also looked after us. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff and nurses kept us well informed . Mum couldn't have had better care.
