Fantastic stay at Rowan house. We stayed in one of the B&B rooms which was lovely. Had every thing we needed even a fridge in the room. Anna the host was great and was very knowledgeable about the local area. Breakfast was very good. |Location was best I have been to overlooking the Loch. |Can't wait to return

A warm welcome from our host Anna led to a very comfortable stay. Anna has put a lot of thought and effort to providing lots to ensure the happiness of her guests. Loads of info about the area in the room|Even a bag of sweets provided to enjoy on your way home. Already booked our next visit.

Fabulous drive down in Autumn is spectacular, regardless of the weather. It was low mist and drizzle for us, which actually made it prettier. Accommodation was great. Lovely and clean, comfy bed and Sky TV if the weather is really awful. Fortunately we didn’t have to watch the TV! Delightful garden beside the loch was lovely just to lie back and soak it all in. Can imagine in the summer it would be a gorgeous place to read a book and chill. Full Scottish breakfast was certainly full and cooked to perfection. Certainly planning to return.

We found this place to be first class for a B&B in every respect. Ample parking and a friendly welcome from the hosts who had communicated well with us before we arrived. Everything is clean and fresh, tastefully decorated and fully up to the appropriate fire and safety standards. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The shower room was well appointed, clean and fresh and the bathrobes a nice touch. New double glazing, blackout blind and curtains. There was extensive choice for breakfast and everything prepared to our request. Rowan House is about 10 miles from the main road down a mostly single track road so don’t rush the last bit of the journey but the peace and beauty are wonderful. The hosts provide a wealth of information about the area in a room binder and are available to discuss further details and help with suggestions for visits and eating out.

Thank you for a super stay! We were so well looked after, particularly as my husband went down with covid on the first day. Anna and Scotty did everything they could to help us out, get us covid tests and supplies, and gave me a set-up bed, so I could stay virus free. The guest house is beautifully decorated, immaculately kept and so comfortable and well equipped. Anna and Scotty are on hand to give recommendations and advice on everything from walks to restaurants to local dogs! The scenery is breathtaking, particularly in the loch-side garden. We'd thoroughly recommend you stay here!

Honestly loved everything about Rowan House. The beds were comfy, the breakfast was fresh and plentiful, the view was spectacular… literally, loved everything about it. One of the nicest places I have ever stayed. Nothing was too much trouble, and even just little things like giving us sweets before we left, and offering to lend binoculars for our boat trip. It is such a lovely place to stay, with lovely people. I didn’t want to leave!

We stayed in the lovely apartment adjoining the B&B. The first thing you notice is the peace and tranquility of the location. The views from the property and Loch side garden are breathtaking. The apartment is well equipped & comfortable. The standard of cleanliness is excellent and we loved the beautiful white bed linen. The shower is good too. Rowan House is located on a single track road which is a dead end, so there is virtually no passing traffic. A huge benefit if you are seeking peace and quiet. We recommend hiring a boat and getting out on the water to see the seal colony. We got lucky and saw 2 porpoises as well. The Boat Shed is worth a visit for simple but good food and a lovely location overlooking the loch. We really recommend Rowan House for comfort and friendliness.

We just spent two wonderful nights in the self-catering apartment at Rowan House. The accommodation was immaculate and tastefully done, and the hosts were very pleasant and helpful. The view of the loch and the local walks were amazing. We wished we had booked a longer stay.
