A welcome resource in a vacuum of respite

.Great Huxley quote on mental health which I personally share as opinion .

The real hopeless victims of mental illness are to be found among those who appear to be most normal. "Many of them are normal because they are so well adjusted to our mode of existence, because their human voice has been silenced so early in their lives, that they do not even struggle or suffer or develop symptoms as the neurotic does." They are normal not in what may be called the absolute sense of the word; they are normal only in relation to a profoundly abnormal society. Their perfect adjustment to that abnormal society is a measure of their mental sickness. These millions of abnormally normal people, living without fuss in a society to which, if they were fully human beings, they ought not to be adjusted.....

Of course my concurrence with that may simply be confirmation bias and unwillingness to accept my own insanity?
Either way when that becomes unclear and ones thoughts become to ineffable to fathom it's good to know there is a welcoming unimposing place to pitch up at .

Seems to be a youth club with groups of youngsters chatting, laughing and smoking outside. Inside noisy. No mental health treatment available just games and tea & biscuits. Crazy being asked to wait with severely unwell relative for this to open at 6pm at which point there is no other services open.

When I arrived at safe haven guildford in crisis from a mental health disorder I have. I opened the door and saw a smallish dark room full of loud people. I was thankfully taken into an office and care coordinator helped me. Whilst in this room I heard shouting and swearing coming from the cafe area and then I saw a lady crying because she had just been verbally abused. It felt like chaos to me. I feel let down. I wont go back there.
