Breviile VKT Variable Temp Kettle was purchased from Argos 27.10 22. It was and still is described by Argos as having a Stainless Steel interior and Exterior. The lid is stiff to remove, so we filled the kettle via the spout. As we live in a soft water area we do not get limescale and therefore have no need to descale, so we do not check the inside of the kettle on a regular basis. On removing the lid, we were shocked to see the plating inside the kettle had disintegrated and was badly corroded on the base plate. We had been drinking water contaminated with metal fragments! Argos Customer Service have passed us to Breviile and Breviile Customer Service have passed us back to Argos. John at Breviile Customer Service also stated it is Nickel plated inside not Stainless Steel!!. The matter has been forwarded to Trading Standards. I would very strongly advise not purchasing this model as it is not fit for purpose and not as described. On returning to Argos Guisborough armed with our rights from Trading Standards we got a full refund without question. Don't let stores try & fob you off - stick to your rights! Pity Argos had not acted professionally in the first instance.

Staff are lovely and helpful but I detest the self service tills..which I had to go to this morning as there was no one on the check outs...I had quite a big shop so it was like playing blooming Jenga on the teeny tiny little area you place your items this fine Sunday morning which irritated me no end?..Bring back the lovely staff on the tills with their cheery hello's and happy service ...?

Feels upmarket but the prices seemed reasonable. Not the largest car park, but OK for my visit, 4pm to 5pm on a Friday.
No charger yet, I understand Kempower chargers are to be installed over the next few months.
